Fully air-conditioned, India’s premium 5 star category luxury train offers a choice of ‘Royal Class’ en suite cabins with either twin or double beds – or ‘Maharaja Suite’, in which the cabins have a separate sitting room and two bathrooms.
Coaches
The Luxury Train has 21 coaches out of which 11 are passenger cars with 4 coupes each. There are 2 Presidential Suite Cars with 2 coupes each car. The train also has a Conference Car (can be redesigned as dance floor in the night) and two Restaurant Cars. There is also a Lounge/Bar Car and one surprising addition is a Spa Car. Apart from the above there are Generator Cars with luggage store and Staff Car or Spare Car.
All cabins are exceedingly spacious – helped by the generous proportions of the country’s broad gauge railway.
Our train includes two splendid Restaurant Cars, offering a wonderful variety of Indian and International Cuisine. Tended by staff from the world-renowned Taj Hotel Group, the Indian and international food offered here is to the very highest culinary standards. Traditionally decorated, these beautifully-designed cars offer a superb and relaxed venue in which to enjoy your meals while watching India’s remarkable scenery slip past the windows.
Another highlight is the splendidly-appointed Lounge Car, which includes a well stocked bar offering the perfect surroundings for a quiet drink with your fellow passengers.
A particularly attractive feature of the Great Indian Royale Express is its Spa Car: here passengers can relax and enjoy a traditional Ayurvedic massage, work out in the gym, visit the on board hairdressing salon or enjoy the heat of the sauna even while the train is underway. For those seeking other ways to spend their time, the reception car also has a library and reading area, a fully equipped business centre and a plasma TV screen.
Conference Facilities
The Train provides a conference room with capacity to host 50 guests with facility for satellite communication, Internet, computer with printer, fax and telephone exchange.

Varies from 8oC to 30oC between September to March and in April it is from 26oC to
35oC.
