Hospet

One of the most spectacular city of India, Hospet is a small dusty town in Northern part of Karnataka and the gateway to reach Hampi.

Hospet was once the capital of the powerful Vijayanagar Empire and most of the great buildings of the city are in ruins now.

Still, Hospet offers may wonderful sites to the tourists. One of the major attractions of the Hospet city is Tungabhadra Dam. The dam keeps Tungabhadra river from being devastating. It also benefits the locals by generating power.

Chitradurga, also regarded as the Kallina Kote that means the Place of Stones. Hyder Ali and his son Tipu sultan built Chitradurga Fort here. The fort is solely a military architecture and the beauty of the fort lies in nineteen gateways and seven walls encircling it.
